| Introduction | This one-day educational symposium will focus on the most up-to-date techniques, benefits, applications, and appropriate uses of ECMO in the adult patient. Lectures will be given by nationally recognized experts in the field who will address the current clinical practice, newest technologies, recent evolution within the field, and the future uses of ECMO devices in adult patients. In addition, a small group of attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a wet lab to receive hands-on ECMO training. The remainder of attendees will observe the procedure as it is beamed live into the conference room. | Target Audience | This activity is designed for Cardiac Surgeons, Cardiologists, Interventional Cardiologists, Intensive Care Specialists, Perfusionists, Pulmonologists, Respiratory Therapists, Thoracic Surgeons, and clinicians who are active in the clinical application and treatment of patients on extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO). |

| Accreditation/ Designation of Credit | The College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
The College of Physicians and Surgeons designates this educational activity for a maximum of 7.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.
Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. The American College of Nurse Practitioners (ACNP) and The American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) accept AMA/PRA category 1 credit from organizations accredited by the ACCME. The American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) accepts AMA/PRA category 1 credit toward recertification requirements. We expect support for this program through grants from pharmaceutical and medical device companies. Also, the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion has allotted 9.3 Category 1 CEUs to those perfusionists who attend this program. |

Physicians: $350 didactic sessions only $850 didactic sessions & wet lab (Limited availability. A maximum of 10 physicians can enroll in the wet lab to be confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis.) Non-Physicians, Residents, Trainees: $150 didactic sessions only Didactic sessions are gratis to NYPH faculty, staff, trainees, residents and fellows. Preregistration and photo ID required.
