Amanda Alonso is a Clinical Research Coordinator working primarily with the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery. She is from Cleveland, Ohio and came to New York City for her undergraduate education, graduating from New York University in 2009 with a BA in Psychology. Amanda began volunteering with the Cardiothoracic Surgery Research Lab as a Research Assistant in the fall of 2010, where she helped gather data for various projects and learned how to assist with procurements for heart and lung transplants. In June of 2010, she began working as a Clinical Research Coordinator for CT Surgery and in September 2012, she joined the New York Chapter of ACRP and earned her Certification for Clinical Research Coordination. Amanda is a team player who not only enjoys teaching and helping others, but is also always open to learning as much as possible. She aspires to eventually become a research manager.
Amanda's hobbies include rock climbing, biking, yoga, and knitting. She especially likes trying new activities, tasting new foods, and meeting new people.
