Marriam Khan graduated from Vassar College with a B.A. in Biochemistry in May of 2014. While at Vassar, she conducted research for three years, analyzing chemical composition of various amber samples from around the world using GC/Mass Spectrometry. She earned her EMT certification in 2013 and served on the College’s EMS squad. Marriam is a supporter of the American Cancer Society and co-chaired the local chapter of Relay for Life for two years to fight back against cancer through awareness and fundraising.
She joined the Department of Surgery at CUMC in February 2015 as a research assistant to the LVAD team.
Marriam is originally from Pakistan and is fluent in Pashto and Urdu. She loves to read and tutor children.
