Sherene Ishtihar joined the CRC Pool as a Research Clerk in January 2014. While earning her Bachelors of Science in Chemistry at City College of New York, she did research in a materials science laboratory and also had a summer internship at Wake Forest Medical University in North Carolina with the Department of Pathology. She furthered her research experience with the Department of Podiatry at Mt. Sinai, studying the relationship between diabetes and neuropathy. Before joining the CRC Pool, Sherene worked as a logistician at a bone marrow donor center before transitioning into a full time position the Clinical Research Core.
Sherene is fluent in Hindi/Urdu as well as English.
She enjoys hiking, baking and travelling.
