About:

An experienced bariatric and general surgeon, Dr. Krikhely has clinical interests including hernia surgery, surgical treatment of GERD and hiatal hernias, benign and malignant gastrointestinal disease, and robotic surgery.

Dr. Krikhely obtained his undergraduate degree from NYU Stern School of Business and his medical degree from NYU School of Medicine. He continued his studies at NYU School of Medicine for residency training in General Surgery, after which he completed his fellowship training in Bariatric and Minimally Invasive Surgery at Montefiore Medical Center. He then joined the full-time faculty at Maimonides Medical Center, where he built a successful practice focusing on bariatric and minimally invasive abdominal surgery.

Dr. Krikhely’s qualifications include Board Certification by the American Board of Surgery and membership in the American College of Surgeons (ACS), the Society of American Endoscopic and Gastrointestinal Surgeons (SAGES), and American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS). Dr. Krikhely regularly publishes in his field and presents at national and international meetings.
