Nurse Practitioner, Inflammatory Bowel Disease Program

Avnit Kaur is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner in the IBD program, Division of Colorectal Surgery, who graduated from Pace University. Before becoming a Nurse Practitioner, she worked for several years as an Emergency Department nurse at MSCHONY-NYP/Columbia and an infusion nurse at CVS-Coram. Avnit works closely with the Inflammatory Bowel Disease team in the Division of Colorectal Surgery. She sees patients in collaboration with the IBD Attending Dr. Garrett Lawlor, in the outpatient setting and helps support and educate patients and their families being treated in the Inflammatory Bowel Disease Program. Avnit has expertise in the evaluation and management of Infusion therapy for management of Inflammatory Bowel Disease and evaluate patients for medical marijuana program. With her experience with the infusion therapies, she is uniquely able to coordinate and optimize care for IBD patients.
