About

Sharlinee Sritharan is certified by the American Academy Nurse Credentialing Center as an Adult Geriatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner. She received her Bachelors and Masters in Nursing Practice from Hunter College, CUNY in New York NY, in 2011 and 2017 respectively.  She graduated with Honors and is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor.

Sharlinee’s career began as a Registered Nurse in Plastics/vascular surgery unit at NYU Medical Center in 2011. Two years later, she took an offer to work in Kidney/Liver transplant ICU as Senior Staff Nurse within NYU, there she worked for 5 years expanding her expertise in transplant, directly caring for critically ill patients immediately after transplant. During her 5 years, she also functioned as Charge Registered Nurse for the unit mentoring colleagues and new nurses.

After earning her Master’s in Nursing, she joined Columbia University Medical Center Kidney/Pancreas Transplant Surgery team in 2017 as Nurse Practitioner in the role of Clinical Coordinator, working in collaboration with transplant surgeons and nephrologists to manage post-operative care needs of transplant recipients.
