About Maureen McKiernan, MD:
Dr. Maureen McKiernan, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Surgery and an Assistant Attending Surgeon in the Department of Surgery at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. She previously completed a Congenital Cardiac Surgery Fellowship at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and earned her MD from the University of Kansas.
Dr. McKiernan is a member of the Women in Thoracic Surgery (WTS), Southern Thoracic Surgical Association (STSA), Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS), American Medical Women's Association (AMWA), and Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Society (AOA). She is board-certified by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery. Dr. McKiernan was recently honored with the George J. Farha, MD Excellence in Surgery Award by the University of Kansas School of Medicine.
