Four doctors from Columbia’s Department of Surgery have been recognized as 2026 Castle Connolly Exceptional Women in Medicine — an honor awarded to only the top 2% of female physicians nationwide.
This distinction builds on the rigorous Castle Connolly Top Doctor selection process, with additional recognition for outstanding research and academic contributions, leadership, service, and training at leading institutions.
