Creon® (pancrelipase) therapy for subjects with exocrine pancreatic insufficiency (EPI) due to pancreatic cancer

A double-blind, randomized, parallel design with 2 dose cohorts of pancrelipase in resected pancreatic cancer subjects and an open-label single dose cohort in non-resected pancreatic cancer subjects.

Clinical Setting

Subjects with moderate to severe Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency due to pancreatic cancer.

Levosimendan to Reduce Mortality in High Risk Cardiac Surgery Patients. A Multicentre Randomized Controlled Trial

Low cardiac output syndrome (LCOs) is a serious complication in critically ill patients or those undergoing major surgery, resulting in multiple organ damage with significant in-hospital and long-term morbidity and mortality, as well as prolonged hospital stay. In this setting the mortality rate is distressingly high despite improvements in intensive care treatment, but survivors have an acceptable quality of life.

Belatacept Compared to Tacrolimus in Deceased Donor Renal Transplant Recipients

The main purpose of this study is to find out whether treatment to prevent kidney rejection with belatacept in presence of Thymoglobulin induction and withdrawal of steroids will result in less delayed graft function or "sleepy kidney" after transplant than that seen in patients who get tacrolimus as their main drug to prevent rejection instead of belatacept. The investigators will also look at whether patients who get belatacept have the same, lesser or more problems that those who get tacrolimus.
