Columbia’s Division of Plastic Surgery is dedicated to leading the field of cosmetic and reconstructive surgery through top-quality clinical care, academic excellence, and pioneering research.
Patient Care
Our Plastic Surgery division has extensive experience providing a full range of cosmetic and reconstructive procedures to patients. Our Cosmetic Care Program offers dozens of different surgical and nonsurgical procedures for a variety of aesthetic adjustments, while our Reconstructive Surgery Program can help correct many different abnormalities caused by issues such as birth defects, trauma, disease, and more. Through our highly-specialized Craniofacial Surgery Program, we provide comprehensive support for children born with cleft lips and palates, as well as other facial deformities. Education & Training
We have long made education and training an integral part of our division. As a leader in plastic surgery, we consider it our responsibility to help prepare the next generation of surgeons, as well as teach the current generation the techniques they need to deliver the best care. Through our plastic surgery residency, young doctors have the opportunity to learn first-hand about the most innovative methods in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery, while surgeons and other doctors can take part in our continuing medical education courses to keep up with the latest best practices. Research
Our clinical research is an incredibly important part of our mission to deliver effective, efficient care. We are continually conducting numerous research and clinical studies to improve surgical techniques, develop innovative procedures, and reimagine the practice of plastic surgery. Recent studies have focused on ways to expedite the post surgery healing process. Learn more about our clinical research:
