For the 2026-2027 rankings and ratings, U.S. News evaluated more than 4,000 facilities across 14 specialties. To determine the Best Hospitals, U.S. News analyzed each hospital’s performance based on objective measures such as risk-adjusted mortality rates, preventable complications, level of nursing care, and expert opinion.
