Reconstructive Care at Columbia

About Reconstructive Plastic Surgery  |  Programs & Services  |  Our Team  |  Resources & More

Reconstructive surgery is performed to correct abnormalities that may have been caused by birth defects, trauma, disease, tumors, or other causes. Reconstructive surgery can improve both function as well as appearance of a part of the body. Some common reconstructive surgeries include breast reconstruction after mastectomy, cleft lip and cleft palate surgery, scar revision, and skin reconstruction after cancer.

Good reconstructive care requires knowledge, experience and compassion. That’s exactly what we offer you if you choose to work with us. With our reconstructive surgery program, you can expect:

  • Top Quality: We are proud to be one of US World & News Report’s top hospitals in the country, but even prouder of the consistently excellent results we get from our own patient satisfaction surveys.
  • More Options: As part of a full-service academic institution, we have access to all the latest tools and techniques, as well as ongoing research to find the next generation of innovative procedures.
  • Comprehensive Care: We cover all reconstructive needs, for both adults and children. In fact, we have one of the country’s only dedicated craniofacial centers to help children with cleft lip and cleft palate.

If you wish to schedule an appointment for an initial consultation to discuss what procedure might be right for you, please call (212) 305-3103 or request an appointment online.
