About

Sheila Bradley is certified by the American Academy Nurse of Nurse Practitioners as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She received her Master of Science in Nursing Practice and Bachelor of Science of Nursing from Dominican College in Orangeburg, NY. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society.

Sheila has over 20 years of experience in pediatric nursing. She began her career as a registered nurse at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, New York. After a few years in general pediatrics she expanded her knowledge base and began working in the critical care setting. For the next 15 years she worked as a bedside nurse in pediatric intensive care units learning and caring for critically ill children and their families. It was during this time working at Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital at New York Presbyterian that she was exposed to hepatology and liver transplant patients. Once certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner she began working in The Center for Liver Disease and Abdominal Transplantation. In this setting she was able to combine her solid knowledge base of the pediatric population, critical care nursing skills, and practice in the field of medicine she is most passionate about.

For the last 5 years she has worked as a Nurse Practitioner in the role of Clinical Coordinator at The Center for Liver Disease and Abdominal Transplantation at Columbia University Medical Center in New York. She is a coordinator for the PLATinum (Pediatric Liver to Adult Transition) Program and a co-investigator on research projects in the areas of hepatology and liver transplantation.
